I. Links for the Online Application Portal will be activated on the College website from February 11, 2016 onwards. Please note that applications have to be submitted only through Online Portal, hard copy of the same will NOT be issued in the office or elsewhere.

II. Before filling the online application please make a note of the following:
1. Check the website/College office and be sure of the course you are applying for 2. Read and understand the process mentioned in the College website www.sjcc.edu.in below the link Admission >>User guide for Online Application
3. Selected candidates have to appear for the interviews in formal attire with their parents/guardians.
4. Have a scanned copy of a passport size photograph (formal attire) with a white background and resized to 97px by 97 px.
5. Create your own valid Email ID.
6. Know your CATEGORY-I /CATEGORY-II (A) /CATEGORY-Il (B)/CATEGORY-III (A)/CATEGORY-III, (B)/SCHEDULED CASTES/SCHEDULED TRIBES and Corresponding Religion along with required valid certificates.
7. X Std. Marks Card to be used as a reference document to enter your personal details such as name, parent name, date of birth etc.
8. Enter subject marks including that of Languages.
9. Use a Valid Debit Card/Credit Card/Net banking facility or procure a Demand Draft of Rs.500/- drawn in favour of ‘The Principal, St. Joseph’s College of Commerce’, payable at Bangalore.
10. The College does not authorize any individual or organization to distribute/sell/process the application/admission on its behalf.

III. How to apply
Step 1
Application Forms should be filled (Fill-in all applicable fields) and submitted online through the College website (www.sjcc.edu.in).

Step 2
a. Pay fees through the Payment Gateway connected to the application form.
b. If you have paid the application fees through Demand Draft (DD) or if you have paid the fees at the College office, enter the DD No. or the Receipt No in the respective field provided.

Step 3
On successful payment transaction and submission of online application please note down the Application Number generated by the software. The same should be quoted for all further correspondences during the period of admissions.

Step 4
Print-out of the completed application form, along with the following supportive documents should be sent by post within three days from the date of online submission to the College address (The Principal, St Joseph’s College of Commerce, 163, Brigade Road, Bangalore-560025, Karnataka, India) in an A4 Size Envelope only
a) A photocopy of X & XI Std. Marks Card
b) Certificate supporting Category/Caste (if applicable).
c) Catholics to enclose letter from the Parish Priest.
d) DD with course and application number on the reverse side (if paid through DD).

Step 5
Last date for receiving the completed application forms along with the documents is 15th April 2016.

Note:
In case you are unable to submit applications ONLINE, you could visit the College with a copy of a passport size photograph (soft copy), along with copies of documents. Assistance will be provided to you in the College campus for filling the application online.

IV. Admission Procedure:
Step 1:
A Written Test will be held on Monday, 18th April 2016 at 10 a.m. The test will be based on Basic Mathematics, English Language, Logical Reasoning and General Knowledge.

Step 2:
The test will be conducted at St. Joseph’s College of Commerce, 163 Brigade Road, Bangalore – 560 025. Candidates are required to be in the College campus by 9.00 a.m.

Step 3:
Candidates who have applied online are expected to produce their Admit Card for the Written Test which can be downloaded from our College website on Saturday 16th April 2015 post 4.00 p.m.

Step 4:
After the written test, application numbers of shortlisted candidates for the Group Discussion will be displayed on the College website and the College notice board on Monday 18th April 2016 at 6.30 p.m.

Step 5:
The Group Discussion will be held in the College campus on Tuesday, 19th April 2016 at 9:30 a.m.

Step 6:
Candidates are expected to produce their Admit Card for the Group Discussion as well.

Step 7:
After the Group Discussion, application numbers of shortlisted candidates for the Interview will be displayed on the College website and the College notice board on Tuesday, 19th April 2016 by 6.00 p.m.

Step 8:
Provisionally selected students will be called for the interview on Wednesday 20th and Thursday 21st April 2016.

Documents to be carried by the selected Candidates for interview: While attending the interview the candidates have to produce:
i. Caste Certificate (If applicable).
ii. Letter from the Parish Priest (In the case of Roman Catholic students).

Once the final interview is over, the selected candidates should pay their fees within 24 hours. The fee structure will be displayed on the College notice board at the time of admission. Fees once paid will not be refunded or transferred to another student once the course commences. The decision of the Admission Committee, St. Joseph’s College of Commerce, Bangalore, will be final and binding in all matters concerning admission.

V. Applicants Kindly Note
1. The College does not accept capitation/donations for admissions. In case such a demand is made by anyone you are requested to bring this, in writing to the notice, of the Principal of the College or the Vice President, Bangalore Jesuit Educational Society, Jesuit Nivas, 35, Museum Road, Bangalore – 560 001. 2. Incomplete or incorrect applications will be automatically rejected.
3. St. Joseph’s College of Commerce does not guarantee Admission to candidates of Karnataka PU Board/other boards, who submit the Application Form after the list of selected candidates is published.
4. Kindly do not send or submit any original documents.
5. The online application form will be processed only if the print-out of the completed application form, along with a photocopy of X & XI Std. Marks Card and Demand Draft (if applicable) is received by the office and the board results are uploaded by the candidate within the time specified on the website.
6. Be aware that ignorance of the guidelines is not an excuse.
7. The institution will not be held responsible for any postal delays and such delayed applications reaching after the stipulated date/time will not be processed.
8. The decision of the Admission Committee, St. Joseph’s College of Commerce, Bangalore, will be final and binding in all matters concerning admission.
