House Keeping And Support Staff Employee Development Program Conducted By IQAC On 31st May 2018

Housekeeping and Support staff are the backbone of any Institution and are responsible for the cleanliness, maintenance and aesthetic up keep. In St. Josephs College of Commerce they are the first staff members who login to work and the last ones to logout of the Institution. There are quietly doing so many works in different areas of the college but we hardly notice and acknowledge their hard work. In spite of the fact that they can easily become overwhelmed and frustrated by the hundreds of students and faculty’s treading in and out of the premises, they go about quietly with their daily work life with no questions asked.

As we know, quality and quantity go hand in hand. If the quality expectations are set too high, the quantity of work is done accordingly. But in our college, the housekeeping support staff ensure that all the work gets done qualitatively. To ensure smooth interpersonal relationships between them and to imbibe the spirit of teambuilding, the IQAC organized a half day morale boosting employee development program for them on 31 st May 2018.

The first session begin with office etiquette by Dr. R.Krishna, Professor in Management & Group Director of Don Bosco Group of Institutions followed by a discussion on Greener Environment-Personal and Surroundings. The second part of the session was steered with an Ice-breaker by Ms. Prathiba Sudarshan, Director-Training of M/s.Winmark Solution, Bangalore. She also spoke about Food, Nutrition and general health upkeep.
