An Internship programme is designed to provide the students an opportunity to share their insights, to explore the links between students' academic preparation and their field work. The internship offers the students an opportunity to acquire practical skills in a structured environment, there by bridging the gap between Academia - Industry requirements.

From working in live environment, on corporate projects as a team in the organisation, Internship stands to provide a compact experience to the students. St. Joseph College of Commerce, Summer Internship is mandatory for B.Com and BBM students as part of their Curriculum. All students are required to undergo an Internship for a period of four to six weeks before the commencement of the fifth semester. Successful Internships of SJCC students has often paved way to great achievements including, assured placements after the completion of the course, further research works, entrepreneurship initiatives and constructive suggestions to improve the syllabus and make it more challenging.


The Summerinternship aims at enabling the students to get a practical exposure to the working/functioning of the industry.

The Summerinternship provides an opportunity to students to substantiate their classroom learning with practical experience.

Each student is allocated, a Guide (Internal faculty). The students are allowed to take Internship Programme in any part of the world. The choice of organization for Internship is restricted to Business Enterprises and Corporate establishments only. On completion of the internship the student has to obtain a Certificate from the Company, stating the period of the internship and a brief description of the nature of the internship i.e. responsibilities handled.

A Report of internship undertaken, along with certificate and confidential rating (from the company) will be submitted by the students to their respective guides. And students will be assessed based on the report submitted and the viva voce. The students are awarded grades based on their performance and also two credits for successfully completing the Summer Internship.
