About the programme:
M.Com is a UGC and Bangalore University recognized programme with an opportunity for students to study and acquire dual qualification namely PGD (Post Graduate Diploma) in the field of specialization ie Finance, HR, Marketing, International Business, Capital and Commodity Markets, Business Administration, Tourism, along with an M.Com (Masters of Commerce). This programme also has an option to pursue a dual degree (MBA) from Dulles University, Virginia.

Online application forms will be available from Monday 2nd February 2015. A Demand Draft of Rs.600/-, drawn in favor of the Principal, St. Joseph's College of Commerce, Bangalore – 560 025. Payment could also be made through Debit Card /Credit Card or Net Banking Facilities (Surcharges apply)

Objectives:
The objective of M.Com course is to provide professional education and training in various aspects of commerce to the students and to provide them with opportunities to develop conceptual and analytical skills to foster positive attitudes essential for their development into competent and effective professionals.

Eligibility for Admission:

Admission Requirement and Admission test:
i. Candidates who have passed B.COM or BBM of any recognized university and have secured at least 50% of mark in the aggregate of all papers studied in the qualifying examinations are eligible for admission into this course. ii. Admission will be based on an entrance test conducted by the college. Marks scored at the test and qualifying examination will be considered for final selection.

Duration:
Duration of this course will be two academic years divided into four semesters.
The classes will start at 0730 hours and continue till 1730 hours with one hour lunch break from 1230 to 1330 hours

Inbuilt provision for on the job training for those who intend to pursue a career in teaching and other sectors through teaching practice and compulsory corporate internship. 8. Focus on preparing professionals for financial analysis, research orientation, investment and risk management, financial management including derivatives, hedge funds and debt funds. 9. Provisions to pursue certificate courses in a variety of subjects. 10. Compulsory paper presentations in state level and national level seminars, corporate internships, teaching practice and dissertation. 11. The course offers an option to do internships from USA and UK. 12. The course offers more flexibility to the students allowing them to choose inter-disciplinary courses along with major papers, which makes education more broad, based. 13.
