M.Com - International Business

I. Links for the Online Application Portal will be activated on the College website from February 11, 2016 onwards. Please note that applications have to be submitted only through Online Portal, hard copy of the same will NOT be issued in the office or elsewhere.

II. Before filling the online application please make a note of the following:
1. Read and understand the process mentioned in the College website www.sjcc.edu.in below the link Admission >>User guide for Online Application 2. The College does not authorize any individual or organization to distribute / sell / process the application / admission on its behalf.
3. Candidates are requires to have a scanned copy of a passport size photograph (formal attire) with white background and resized to 97px by 97 px.
4. Create your own valid Email ID.
5. Know your CATEGORY-I /CATEGORY-II (A) /CATEGORY-Il (B)/CATEGORY-III (A)/CATEGORY-III, (B)/SCHEDULED CASTES/SCHEDULED TRIBES and Corresponding Religion along with required valid certificates.
6. X Std. Marks Card to be used as a reference document to enter your personal details such as name, parent name, date of birth etc.
7. Use a Valid Debit Card/Credit Card/Net banking facility or procure a Demand Draft of Rs.600/- drawn in favour of ‘The Principal, St. Joseph’s College of Commerce’, payable at Bangalore.
8. Enter only core subject marks do not include language marks
9. As soon as the results are announced, the marks should be entered online and submitted online using the link provided on the website.
10. Eligibility for M.Com
i. B.Com / BBM / BBA graduate with minimum of 50% marks.
ii. Candidates with industry experience will be preferred.
iii. Candidates appearing for the final year degree exam can also apply.
11. Candidates must note that if selected, admission is provisional and subject to admission rules – until all documents are submitted to the College office.
12. Candidates have to access their E-Admit Card from the College website and take a print-out of the same.
13. Candidates must report for the Selection Process at the allotted time with the E-Admit Card. Download the same on 29th & 30th April 2016
14. Those candidates not reaching the venue at the allotted time will not be permitted to take part in the Selection Process.
15. Request for change in Selection Process dates will not be entertained.
16. PGD is compulsory for M.Com candidates. No need to fill a separate application form.
17. The candidates appearing for the written test should bring the following documents with them:
a) Admit card
b) Photocopy of the application form in case the application has been sent by post.
c) The original PAN Card/Driving License / Election Photo ID Card/Pass Port/ADHAR Card.
18. All original documents to be submitted by Wednesday 31st August 2016: 1st to 6th semester UG Marks Cards, Transfer Certificate, Conduct Certificate, photocopy of Caste Certificate and Provisional Degree Certificate. In addition, for non-Karnataka students Migration Certificate, for NRI students copy of Passport and Visa and for foreign nationals photocopy of Passport, Visa and Residential Permit). On failure to provide this, admission will be cancelled and fees forfeited.

III. How to apply
Step 1
Application Forms should be filled (Fill-in all applicable fields) and submitted online through the College website (www.sjcc.edu.in).

Step 2
a) Pay fees through the Payment Gateway connected to the application form.
b) If you have paid the application fees through Demand Draft (DD) or if you have paid the fees at the College office, enter the DD No. or the Receipt No in the respective field provided.

Step 3
On successful payment transaction and submission of online application please note down the Application Number generated by the software. The same should be quoted for all further correspondences during the period of admissions.

Step 4
Print-out of the completed application form, along with a photocopy of X, XI, XII Std. and all Semesters of Degree Marks Cards, Transfer Certificates from last qualified Institution (if available) ,copy of Migration Certificates for candidates from outside of Karnataka (if available),copy of Passport and Visa Page if residing outside India, should be sent by post or courier service to the College (The Principal, St Joseph’s College of Commerce, 163, Brigade road, Bangalore-560025, Karnataka, India) in A4 Size envelope only. If payment is through Demand Draft then on the reverse side of the DD record the Course & Application Number and enclose. If all degree Marks Cards are not submitted do specify with a letter.(Please note that the acceptance of the letter and the application form is at the discretion of the Office of Admissions)

Note: Candidates must mark "Admissions 2016 –17 [APPLICATION NO], [COURSE], on the top left hand corner of theA4 size envelope for faster processing of application. The application and supporting documents should reach the College Office within 3 days of submitting online application or before April 28, 2016, whichever is earlier.

In case you are unable to submit applications ONLINE, you could visit the College with a copy of a passport size photograph (soft copy), along with copies of documents. Assistance will be provided to you on the College campus for filling the application online.

Step 5
Office of Admissions will update E- Admit card for the Selection Process only after receiving the printed application form with the supporting documents. The application and supporting documents should reach the Office of Admissions within 3 days of submitting online application or before April 28, 2016. Candidates must mark ‘ Admissions 2016-17 - ’ on the top left hand corner of the A4 size envelope for faster processing of application form.

Step 6
Applicants should print the Admit Card when generated online. An Aptitude Test will be held on Thursday, 1st May 2016, the venue being St. Josephs College of Commerce, 163, Brigade Road, Bangalore– 25 at 10.00 a.m. Candidates who have appeared for latest MAT and secured more than 700 marks are exempted from writing the Aptitude Test (attested copy of the MAT score card to be attached) and such candidates should come for a personal interview on Monday 2nd May 2016 at 9.00 a.m .

Step 7
After the Aptitude Test, students will be short listed for Personal Interview by 8.00 pm on the same day. The list will be displayed on the College notice board and the Website.

Step 8
Provisionally selected students will be called for a personal interview on 2nd May 2016 at 9.00 am. The candidates have to appear for the interview in formal attire along with their parents.

Step 9
The selected candidates have to produce all the necessary original documents i.e. 10th and Degree Marks Sheet, Caste Certificate, letter from the Parish Priest (in case of Catholic Students).

Step 10
PGD is compulsory for M.Com candidates. No need to fill a separate application form.

Step 11
Once the final interview is over, the selected candidates should pay their fees within two days. The fee structure will be displayed on the College Notice Board at the time of admission. FEES ONCE PAID WILL NOT BE REFUNDED OR TRANSFERRED TO ANOTHER STUDENT.

IV. Applicants Kindly Note
1. The College does not accept capitation / donations for admissions. In case such a demand is made by anyone you are requested to bring this in writing, to the notice of the Principal of the College or the Vice President, Bangalore Jesuit Educational Society, Jesuit Nivas, 35, Museum Road, Bangalore – 560 001.
2. Incomplete or incorrect applications will be automatically rejected.
3. St Joseph’s College of Commerce does not guarantee admission to candidates who submit the Application Form after the list of selected candidates is published.
4. Kindly do not send or submit any original documents.
5. The online application form will be processed only if the print-out of the completed application form, along with a photocopy of X & XII Std. Marks Card, Degree Marks Card and Demand Draft (if applicable) is received by the office and the results are uploaded within the time specified on the website.
6. Note that ignorance of the guidelines is not an excuse.
7. The Institution will not be held responsible for any postal delays and such delayed applications reaching after the stipulated date /time will not be processed.
8. The decision of the Admission Committee, St. Josephs College of Commerce, Bangalore, will be final and binding in all matters concerning admission.
