When will applications open for the academic year?
Applications will open from February for all UG and PG programmes.

Will the manual applications be given in the college premises?
Applications will be available only through Online Portal(, hard copy of the same will NOT be issued in the College office or elsewhere.

How do I pay for the online application form?
Pay fees through the Payment Gateway connected to the application form. If you have paid the application fees at the College office, enter the 16 digit number in the space provided to complete the application form.

How do I know if the application is submitted online?
On successful payment transaction and submission of online application, a 6 digit unique Application Number is generated by the software.

Application fee for NRI, PIO, OCI and Foreign National...
In case of an NRI, PIO, OCI and Foreign National who do not have a valid Debit Card/Credit Card issued by Registered Indian Banks,the applicant can pay the application processing fee through "DD- Demand Draft" made in favor of The Principal, St Joseph’s College of Commerce payable at Bengaluru.

Does the college have Management seat?
The college does not accept capitation/donations for admissions. In case such a demand is made by anyone you are requested to bring it to the notice, in writing, to the Principal of the College or the Vice President, Bangalore Jesuit Educational Society, Jesuit Nivas, 35, Museum Road, Bengaluru– 560 025.

What is the criterion for Admission?
B.Com courses admission is based on merit and for BBA, B.Com (Professional - International Accounting & Finance), B.Com Analytics, B.Com (Professional – Strategic Finance) and Post Graduation programmes are based on aptitude test and group discussion.

Submission Of Application Forms
Applicants who are selected for the interview should bring along with them the hard copy of the application form, Photocopies of marks cards, caste certificate (if applicable). Applicants who are Roman Catholics are expected to produce Parish Priest certificate at the time of interview.

What happens with Incomplete or incorrect applications?
Will be automatically rejected.

Do we require the Original Documents at time of Interviews?
College does not ask for any original documents for submission. So kindly do not send any originals. However, it has to be carried in for verification purpose at the time of the interview.

Do we have to submit our XII Standard marks card after the board results?
For immediate purposes, the marks are to be entered online by using applicant login mentioned on the website. The original marks will be needed by the college on later stage for verification purpose.

When I try to apply I always get the message ‘session expired’?
Please ensure that you are using a stand - alone system and not your smart phone/android. Also use Mozilla /Google Chrome as your browser. Kindly logout and login once again.

I am writing the Boards this summer, but the application states that I must enter class XII results. How can I apply?
Enter the subject and max marks and leave the obtained marks blank or enter 0(zero). Once your results are announced use the applicant login and “update your XII marks “to enter the marks scored in XII.
The application states that you may enter class XI marks which is conducted by your school/college and use your school roll number for ‘previous exam registration number’.

My University/Board provides only grades/CGPA
All grades/CGPA must be converted into an equivalent score out of 100 without the use of decimals. The CBSE grade point has to be converted into percentage by using the approved CBSE grade conversion formula.

Can I apply for more than one programme in the same application?
It is not possible to apply for more than one programme in the same application form. The candidate cannot manually enter her/his preferences on the application printout.

What should I do once my board results are announced?
Soon after the announcement of results of the respective course,marks should be entered and submitted online.

How do I know that I am selected?
The final list of the provisionally selected candidates, and the schedule of the interview/ orientation can be viewed on our website. The same list will also be displayed on the College notice board.
Provisionally selected candidates have to appear in formal attire along with their parents for the interview/orientation.

I always receive the message of ‘invalid phone number’ while filling the application.
It is advised not to use + while entering the country code for any number.

What documents should I bring for the aptitude test?
Downloaded Admit Ticket/Card and Valid ID Card issued by competent authority.

Where do I download the Admit Card?
Login to your account go to My ApplicationM to download your e-admit cards.

What happens when the payment is successful and I am not able generate my application number?
First Check if the amount is deducted from the bank account. If ‘yes’ follow the below steps:
• Click on My application Screen on the Home page and Click on Check Status
• If the Status shows pending then Click on the button to view status
• If the payment details are updated, the application no gets generated
Note: Status shows failed, then initiate new payment (if payment not debited from your account).

Does the college accept donations?
The college does not accept capitation/donations for admissions. What is the cancellation policy for the academic fee?
In the event of cancellation of admission from any programme the fee refund is as per the UGC regulation.

Can I request for refund of my application fee?
There is no refund for the application fee paid.

What happens when I fail to submit my original documents after the admission to the college?
All original documents to be submitted to the college i.e. Marks Cards, Transfer Certificate, Conduct Certificate, photocopy of Caste Certificate and Provisional Degree Certificate for PG Students. In addition, for non-Karnataka students Migration Certificate, for NRI students copy of Passport and Visa and for foreign nationals photocopy of Passport, Visa and Residential Permit). On failure to provide this, admission will be cancelled and fees forfeited.

Are corrections allowed in the application form submitted?
The candidate has to take care of submitting an error free application online. Certain application information can be corrected by sending an email to with supporting documents as proof.
