About Programme

India's logistics and supply chain sector is experiencing strong growth, driven by manufacturing, e-commerce, organised retail, infrastructure development, exports and the increasing integration of India into global supply chains. The e-commerce and quick-commerce boom have multiplied the number of smaller, faster, more frequent deliveries businesses must manage end-to-end. Government infrastructure pushes the National Logistics Policy, PM Gati Shakti and dedicated freight corridors are modernising how goods move across the country. Global manufacturing shifts, including “Make in India” and diversified sourcing, are pushing companies to build leaner, more resilient supply networks. Careers in logistics are increasingly situated at the nexus of technology and commerce thanks to data and digitisation from inventory analytics to platforms like ULIP.

A B. Com Programme embedded with Logistics and Supply Chain Management can address this demand by combining the financial and accounting foundation of B.Com.—accounting, finance, economics and business law—with practical knowledge of procurement, inventory, logistics, warehousing, transportation and distribution. This combination enables students to understand how operational decisions in procurement, sourcing, supply-chain analytics, demand and supply planning, warehouse and logistics operations, e-commerce, retail, FMCG, manufacturing and consulting are made.

Objectives of the B. Com (Logistics & Supply Chain Management) Programme

  • To develop a strong foundation in commerce and business by integrating core knowledge of accounting, finance, economics and business law with contemporary logistics and supply chain management practices.
  • To equip students with practical knowledge of end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, sourcing, inventory management, warehousing, transportation, distribution, demand and supply planning, and logistics operations.
  • To build analytical and technology-enabled decision-making skills through hands-on exposure to supply chain analytics, data-driven planning, digital platforms and emerging technologies shaping the logistics ecosystem.
  • To provide industry-oriented learning and practical exposure through internships, field visits, business simulations and interactions with logistics, manufacturing, retail, e-commerce and supply chain professionals.
