About the programme
The B.A. (English & Psychology) Programme is a dual
specialization programme foregrounding the study of
literature in the global and Indian contexts and focuses on
providing a foundational understanding of psychological
concepts, and the application of these concepts in practical
settings.
English courses, through a close study of texts and contexts,
familiarizes students with literary histories of the world and
equips them with literary sensibilities and acumen to develop
careers in the field of writing, journalism, publishing, media,
social sector, teaching, and public relations.
Psychology courses are designed to familiarise students with
the various applications of Psychology in different spheres
including clinical, educational, and industrial settings. In
addition, it provides a platform to use these skills to enhance
self-awareness, empathy, and social responsibility.
