Mr. Gladson. J S completed his MSW (Master of Social Work) from St. Joseph’s College, Bangalore in 2014. Thereafter, he started working in Caritas India - CBRForum (Community Based Rehabilitation Forum), as a Programe Officer. He headed projects in five states and focused mainly on educating tribal community and NGOs on the issues of the differently-abled and mainstreaming the person with disability.

In 2016, he started the organization called Hand in Hand Charitable Trust, along with his passionate friend and a project called ‘Rupantara’ (an after school program for the Grave-Diggers children). ‘Rupantara’ today takes care of children's academic, social and cultural well-being as well as provides for the creative development of women who live in the graveyard. This program was a result of a study he had done in 2014, based on the living and working conditions of graveyard workers in the city of Bangalore. He completed a project titled “A study on the occupation, housing standards and social resources of graveyard workers in Bengaluru” funded by National School of Law University, Bangalore in 2018.

Mr Gladson enjoys engaging with young minds and motivating them to change the existing system and therefore, has given guest lectures on various socially relevant topics in different colleges across the city. He currently works as an Outreach coordinator at St. Joseph’s Commerce College, and also teaches Human rights & social justice, and Humanitarian assistance & disaster management.
