Dr. Preemal Maria D’Souza completed her M.Com with a distinction, specializing in Accounting and Taxation with her thesis entitled, “An Empirical Study on the Depth of Human Resource Accounting Practices in Select Companies Situated in Bangalore” from Christ University, Bangalore. She completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration in Finance from Symbiosis University.

Dr. Preemal pursued her Ph.D from Bharathiar University Coimbatore with her thesis titled “A Study on the Financial Inclusion in Karnataka State with Special Reference to Self-Help Groups in Bangalore Urban District” She began her teaching career in 2013 at St. Joseph’s College of Commerce and handles subjects such as Financial Accounting, Financial Management, Management Accounting, Micro Economics, Macro Economics, Costing for Business Decisions, Financial Markets and Services, Taxation and Operations Research.

Dr. Preemal has shown keen interest in the field of Human Resource Accounting and has presented a paper on the same during her post-graduation. She has also attended and presented papers at State and National level seminars. She won the best paper award at three different conferences. As she has been a National Level and University level Basketball player and a member of the Christ University Choir. Dr. Preemal strongly believes that a student should participate not only in academics but also in co-curricular and cultural activities and hence become a good multi-tasker.
