ACADEMIC YEAR 2011-2012

This academic year saw a change in guard of IQAC team. Ms. Ravi Darshini - IQAC Coordinator took over the helms from Mr. Ravi Richards. A. This academic year was crucial to the college as this year, the college was going in for reaccreditation and reassessment.

In the month of September 2011, IQAC took the initiative of organizing a PTA meeting. Feedback from Parents and their assessment of the institution were taken which were tabulated and analyzed.

The IQAC facilitated the assessment and evaluation of teaching faculty by the students at the end of every semester, so that the feedback from this exercise could provide valuable insight. Exit interviews from outgoing students provided feedback to the institution on parameters such as relevance and satisfaction with the course, internships, testing methods, infrastructure, etc

Ms. Ravi Darshini headed the team of teachers who were nominated for the preparation of the Self Study Report (SSR). Various committees comprising of three to four teaching staff were formed to draft the self study report criteria wise. The various committees were explained the status of the implementation of the Action Plan for the documentation process. Likewise, the status of the work assigned to the each coordinator-members criterion wise was also explained. The Self Study Report was submitted in February 2012. At the close of the academic year, the college awaited the visit of the NAAC Peer Team for their Assessment and Re-accreditation.

The IQAC was also responsible for conducting a city level seminar – “Cross Roads” for the students. On day one, the details of the program were as follows -

Session 1: The students of III B.Com & BBM were the attendees and the topic of discussion was “Soft skills for successful placements” by Mr. Ajay Arora, Director of TIME. Session 2: The students of III B.Com & BBM were the attendees and the topic of discussion was “Building a Competitive Portfolio” by Mr. Rajiv Talreja, Founder and Managing Director of Quantum Leap. Session 3 was a Satellite sessions common to all students and the topic that was discussed was “Unconventional Career paths, Entrepreneurship as a viable career and Post graduate study options”.

Day two of the city level seminar had the following sessions:

Session 1: Students of I B.Com & BBM were addressed with topic “Infusing creativity in Leadership” by Mr. Ian Faria. Session 2: Students of I B.Com & BBM attended the session and the topic of discussion was “Professional Courses for Commerce students” by Mr. Vijay Raja. For Session 3, students of II B.Com & BBM took part in a Panel discussion on “Maximize the Value of Internship”.
