Journey of IQAC

ACADEMIC YEAR 2012-2013

The year began with focused objectives towards the NAAC re- accreditation process with respect to Peer Team Visit. With the Self Study Report being submitted in February 2012, the college looked forward for the NAAC Peer Team visit.

In the month of August 2012, IQAC along with Ms. Ravi Darshini head, took the initiative of organizing a PTA meeting. Feedback from Parents and their assessment of the institution were taken which were tabulated and analyzed.

The IQAC facilitates the assessment and evaluation of teaching faculty by the students at the end of every semester, so that the feedback and reflection that arise from this exercise could provide valuable insight. Exit interviews from outgoing students provide insights to the institution on parameters such as relevance and satisfaction with the course, internships, testing methods, infrastructure, etc.

In the month of December 2012, the Peer Team visited the College. The Visiting committee consisted of Prof. Vunnam Venkaiah, Chairperson, Dr.Fr. Davis George - Member the 11 th , 12 th and 13 th of December 2012.

The Peer team interacted with all the stakeholders and concerned officers of the college who were at the helm of affairs to validate the report. The team appreciated the academic performance and reputation of the college, optimal utilization of autonomous status, well maintained infrastructure, ICT enabled teaching learning, twinning programme with foreign universities, committed staff and disciplined students. The NAAC peer team suggested that the college should provide adequate flexibility in the formulation of the curriculum, measures to be taken to develop consultancy expertise and work towards the choice based credit system.

The college was rated with a 3.37 CGPA – ‘A’ grade on a four point scale, based on the Self study report and the Peer team visit, in December 2012 under the third cycle of NAAC accreditation
