About Programme
The BBA (Entrepreneurship) Programme has been designed with a vision to infuse the students with the dynamics of creativity, innovation, critical thinking and organizational discipline. The focus is to inculcate entrepreneurial thinking to enable students identify probable business ideas and help them understand the ethical and moral responsibilities of owning and operating a business. Our collaboration with the Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurship, UK (IOEE) has further enhanced to cater to the holistic development of a young entrepreneur. The Programme is accredited by IOEE and students will be eligible for Associate Membership of IOEE after the course completion. The new Integrated BBA Entrepreneurship Programme aims at providing practical guidance and expertise through extensive coaching from faculty with proven research and academic credentials.

Eligibility

No student shall be eligible for admission to the 1st Degree course through non-formal /distance education unless he/she has successfully completed 12 years of Schooling through an examination conducted by a Board/University or through National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS).

Mandatory eligibility for the programme is a pass at the +2 level ( Karnataka PUC, ISC, CBSE, NIOS, state boards) in any stream of Commerce, Science & Humanities from any recognized boards from India or abroad with a minimum of 60%.

Kindly note the fee is fixed for one year, there may be a nominal increase in fees every academic year.
Indian nationals pursuing an international curriculum in India, will pay the fee applicable for NRI status for the first year.

The selected candidates, after appearing for the final selection process, must pay the fee through the following options:
a) Via bank transfer to the South Indian Bank, Brigade Road Branch, Bangalore To pay via bank transfer, candidates must contact the accounts department in the college or mail to accounts@sjcc.edu.in for details.
b) DD drawn in favor of “Principal, St. Joseph’s College of Commerce” payable at Bangalore
Payment / Transfer of fees does not guarantee the admission if the eligibility criterion is not satisfied

Process Date & Time Particulars Guidelines
SMAT (Aptitude Test) 16th April, 2020 (11:30 AM) St. Joseph's Management Aptitude Test (SMAT) will consist of 4 sections:

1. English
2. Quantitative Aptitude, Numerical Ability
3. Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation
4. Entrepreneurship

- The test will begin at 11.30 am
- Candidates are required to be present in the venue by 10.30 am
- The test will be of one hour duration
- Each section will consist of 15 questions
- All questions are compulsory
- There will be no negative marking.

Group Discussion 17th April, 2020 (As per notification) Group discussion :

Topic will be given on the spot

- Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend the group discussion round.
- Timings and room allotment will be made available along with the selected list of students.
- Students will be made aware of the topics on the spot

E- Round 17th April, 2020 (As per notification) E Round: 

This round may consist of an entrepreneurship case study/ b-plan/micro presentation/ interview.

This round will happen immediately after the group discussion in the same venue

Personal Interview 18th & 20th of April, 2020 (As per notification)

Shortlisted candidates are required to attend the personal interview in formal attire along with their parents.

They are required to also carry the following documents (Original and Photocopy):
- Printout of the filled in online application form
- Valid ID (Aadhar, Passport etc.)
- 10th standard marks card
- 11th standard marks card
- 12th standard marks card (if available)
- Caste certificate (if applicable)
- Parish priest letter (If Roman Catholic)
- E- Admit card.


Aptitude Test
  1. The e-admit card is to be kept with the candidate throughout the admission process.

  2. All students must carry a valid ID proof Driving License/Passport/Electoral ID/Aadhar Card) along with aptitude test admit cards. Passport and Visa Page if from Outside India.

  3. Candidates who have applied online should download their Admit Card from our college website (download admit card) on the dates mentioned.

  4. Kindly check the website for the seating arrangement.

  5. You are expected to bring your own stationary (Pen, Pencil, erasers, etc.)

  6. Candidates are expected to be seated in their respective rooms by at least 15 minutes prior to commencement of the test.

  7. You will not be permitted to appear for the Selection Process, if found that you have not met the minimum eligibility conditions.

  8. Cellular phone, Satellite phone, pager, Calculators, Digital Diaries etc., are not allowed into the Selection Process venue, in any case.

  9. Those candidates not reaching the venue at the allotted date and time will not be permitted to take part in the selection process

  10. No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing the Selection Process

  11. No candidate is allowed to enter the exam hall after 15 minutes of the commencement of the exam.

  12. Only two wheeler parking will be available for the students

  13. In case the candidate has applied for 2 courses date/time will be notified in advance, check website for details.

  14. The responsibility of satisfying the eligibility criteria for Admission rests with the student/candidate. Issue of the E-Admit Card for the selection process does not imply that the eligibility criteria are satisfied

General Instructions for the Shortlisted Candidates
  1. Soon after the announcement of results of the respective boards, submit an internet copy of the marks card quoting the application number and Name on the right-hand top corner to the college office.

  2. The final list of the provisionally selected candidates and the schedule of the interview/orientation can be viewed on our website. The same list will also be displayed on the College notice board.

  3. Applicants who are selected for the interview/orientation should bring along with them the hard copy of the application form, Photocopies of marks cards, caste certificate (if applicable).

  4. Provisionally selected candidates have to appear in formal attire with their parents for the interview/orientation.  It is Mandatory while attending the interview/orientation the candidates have to produce the following documents 
    - Print out of the filled in online application form
    - E-Admit card
    - Attested copies of the 10th , 11th / I PUC and 12th Marks Card (If available)
    - Caste Certificate (If applicable).
    - Letter from the Parish Priest (In the case of Roman Catholic students).
    - Copy of the Aadhar Card  
    - Originals for verification propose only.

  5. In the event of cancellation of admission from the programme the fee refund is as per the UGC regulation.

  6. The college does not accept capitation/donations for admissions. In case such a demand is made by anyone you are requested to bring it to the notice, in writing, to the Principal of the College or the Vice President, Bangalore Jesuit Educational Society, Jesuit Nivas, 35, Museum Road, Bengaluru– 560 025.

  7. The decision of the Admission Committee, St. Joseph’s College of Commerce, Bengaluru, will be final and binding in all matters concerning admission.

In case you are unable to submit applications ONLINE, you could visit the College with a copy of a passport size photograph (soft copy), along with copies of documents. Assistance will be provided to you in the College campus for filling the application online.
